what are you trying to do? ... all you should be doing is uploading a show folder containing .txt file, .ffp or .md5 or both, and the track's of the show as .flac files.. don't d/l anything, just upload and then import the show.. do you have a details page at all yet I can look at ?

I am simply trying to get the stuff to load.

I was going to try to fix my md5 files, as per the post i read.

The contribution center gives me this message "MD5 checksum verification failed. Waiti..." under progress.

I had the same problem with another file last week. finally, it got deleated, and i was able to put it back up without a hitch.

Ok, you need to create an MD5 file that checks (only) your FLAC files. Upload that MD5 file to the server and put it in the same directory as your show, then click mark resolved next to it in the contribution center and it will send you an email with details of which files are failing.

You should always include an MD5 with your uploads.

I appologize for my lack of savee. I am clueless as to how create a MD5 file. I seem to remember seeing some sort of instructions (somewhere) but i cannot seem to locate them. Even if i could look at a sample...

http://md5summer.org/

After you create the MD5, make sure you open it in a text editor and remove the top lines. MD5summer "brands" its checksums with this junk:

# MD5 checksums generated by MD5summer (http://www.md5summer.org)
# Generated 6/6/2005 9:23:13 PM

The top line of the file should look something like this:

37653266139b19359870013def344940 *ph97-12-11d1tr01.shn

And the only files in it should be music files - no text files or folders.

first of all, thanks for all your help so far. I am afraid i am still having issues pertaining to
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=25586
I have used the md5summer, and reloaded the file, but the message in the contribution center still reflects a checksum failure. I was wondering if it may have something to do with
chingus2005-04-22.flac16_files.xml? any ideas?

(also, any idea why do not recieve the emails telling me of the problems)

again, thank you ;)

After you create the .md5 file in md5summer, you must upload the .md5 file to your archive upload area, into the same folder where your flac files are. Then, go to the contribution engine and hit "mark resolved" on your item. That will make the CE do an md5 check on your files again, this time sending you an email telling you which file(s) have failed after upload. Once you know, delete the failed files(s) from the upload area and try reuploading those again into the folder where your good files still are. Hit "mark resolved" again when upload is complete.

Good luck!
